PLANNING bosses have given permission for a bakers shop to be converted into a hot food take away.
One neighbour wrote to the council committee to object to application by Zaker Ali for the shop in Crescent Road, Bolton, on the grounds that it would cause noise, litter, smells and disturbance.
The committee rejected a similar application for the site in 1999 but a planning inspector later upheld an appeal, claiming: "Residents could not expect quite the same quiet and undisturbed living conditions as a predominately residential area."
