A SCOUT troop have showed themselves to be real outdoor types by winning a regional tent pitching competition.
The six-strong team from the 3rd Farnworth Scout group won first prize after impressing judges with their survival skills.
They travelled to Dunham near Altrincham and expertly put up a traditional patrol tent which they had to sleep in overnight.
The scouts were watched as they prepared a menu and concocted a camp stew and cooked fish on an open fire.
They also erected a dining shelter and cordoned off their camping area with makeshift fences.
