A DRIVER who had been drinking rang the police himself after he had been involved in an accident, Bury magistrates were told.
Mark Francesco Dalcin, aged 30, of Brantwood Drive, Breightmet, Bolton, admitted a charge of drink driving in Bury Old Road in Ainsworth.
The court heard that after he had been involved in a two-car accident, he left the scene and went straight home, but then phoned the police.
Mr Khalid Qureshi, prosecuting, said: "It was to his credit he did this."
Dalcin was fined £250 with £55 court costs and banned from driving for two years
