CHILDREN at a Breightmet primary school ditched their school uniform for the day and wore jeans -- all in the name of a good cause.
Red Lane Primary School raised more than £400 for the national Jeans for Genes day, a charity that funds research into genetic birth defects.
Teachers, support staff, dinner ladies and children from the nursery class up to year six all wore denim to support the charity for the third year running.
Staff at the Bolton Evening News also donned jeans for the day, raising £90.
