MOTORISTS in Bolton's The Haulgh will face disruptions as work is carried out to re-align a traffic island.
The island, at the junction of Radcliffe Road and Castle Street, will be moved slightly, and the surrounding carriageway will become one-way around the island.
It is hoped that the measure will help to slow drivers on the stretch of road. Bolton Council's engineering department is also extending two sections of pavement to offer more protection to parking bays.
Improvement work will also be carried out to the carriageway in Bradford Street.
The work, due to start this month, is expected to be completed in early December.
