CARING teenagers are hoping to raise money for Children in Need through a sponsored walk.
Nine youngsters aged 13 to 17 are busy trying to raise as much sponsorship as possible for their walk on October 10.
Thornleigh Salesian College pupil Emma Jackson, aged 15, is the brains behind the walk and the youngsters will be beginning their walk from Emma's house in Fourth Avenue, Heaton, and will finish at Middlebrook Retail Park.
Emma said: "I've done something every year for Children in Need for a while now and I wanted to carry on raising money this year as well."
Anyone who would like to help the youngsters raise charity cash can phone Emma on 01204 491651.
