FOUR men have been sentenced for carrying out a series of burglaries on business premises across the North-west.
The gang members were jailed for around 19 burglaries that took place between February, 2002 and November, 2003 at commercial properties in Salford, Stockport and Trafford.
David Burgess, aged 32, of Monton Mill, Salford, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit burglaries and was handed a three-year jail term. William Ravenscroft, aged 27, of Anson Road, Swinton, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit burglaries and was also sentenced to three years in prison.
Christopher Monaghan, aged 24, of Highercroft, Peel Green, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit burglaries and was sentenced to two and a half years in prison.
Michael Murden, aged 45, of Benson Close, Lower Broughton, pleaded guilty to handling stolen goods and received a 12 month conditional discharge.
A fifth man, James Constable, aged 35, of Farnworth, has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit burglary and handling stolen goods.
He will be sentenced on October 15.
