TWO young singers got the chance to live their dreams when they appeared alongside a West End legend on Friday night.
Charlotte McGrory, aged 16, a pupil at Bury Grammar School, and Soraya Mafi, also 16, a pupil at Holy Cross Sixth Form College, joined show veteran Peter Karrie on stage in Bolton.
The singer, who is best known for his appearances in productions of Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables, brought his show, Peter Karrie and Friends to a sold-out Albert Halls.
Joined on stage by youngsters from Stagecoach drama schools in Bolton and Bury, Karrie sang hits from West End shows including Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, Jesus Christ Superstar.
Charlotte and Soraya joined him to sing He Knows Me So Well from the musical Chess.
They auditioned on Friday afternoon along with 10 other hopefuls.
Peter said: "I chose them because of their vocal range and presence and they were very good."
Charlotte said: "I was a bit nervous about going out in front of all those people but it went really well and it was a great experience."
