A NEW book celebrating the history of Bolton Wanderers has been launched by past and present Whites heroes.
Nigerian star Jay-Jay Okocha and Roy Hartle, one of the legendary 1958 FA Cup-winning side, signed copies of "Making Headlines" - the story of Wanderers as seen through the pages of the Bolton Evening News.
Eager fans turned up to get their hands on the book last night and meet the pair, who signed copies along with assistant club boss Phil Brown and author Les Gent.
Throughout its history, the Bolton Evening News - founded in 1867 - has reported the fortunes of the Wanderers and "Making Headlines" follows those stories, printing them as they appeared over the years.
More than 150 fans turned up for its official launch at the Reebok Stadium's superstore to buy signed copies.
Mr Gent, former editor of the Bolton Evening News, said: "I think it will be a great Christmas present for anybody who is interested in Bolton Wanderers or football in general."
Mr Hartle said: "I think it's a brilliant idea."
The book is on sale now at the club shop and other book shops, priced £24.99.
