ONCE again it seems Bolton Wanderers season ticket holders are being let down by the management regarding the sale of Carling Cup tickets.
The Bolton Evening News carried the story "Free tickets for children" earlier this week, detailing all the selling arrangements for the forthcoming match against Spurs on October 27.
Having spoken to a gentleman from the ticket office, I feel I must protest, as yet again season ticket holders are going to be made to pay in order to purchase our seat for that, or any other special game at the Reebok!
It beggars belief that nearly 20,000 season ticket holders can only apply by post, and have to pay an administration fee of £1.50, plus the supply of a stamped addressed envelope.
We are not able to go to the ground and get our ticket, and we have until October 11 to ensure we apply for our seat for this game.
On October 22, tickets will go on open sale, and then you can go to the ground and purchase with no administration fee. Do Season Ticket holders wait until then, or will our seats have been sold?
I feel the club are discriminating against their loyal season-ticket holders, who pay out the money before a ball is kicked and take our chances on how the team will fare. Now we are being made to pay extra to purchase a ticket.
After the fiasco of the Carling Cup Final ticket arrangements and the postal applications that were never received, is it any wonder most people don't trust the post? Bolton Wanderers might be on a high at the moment, but the arrangements for ticket sales are diabolical.
Carol Fryer,
Grace Street,
The Inter Milan game at the start of the season did nothing to give us confidence -- no wonder, if you were one of the people who waited outside to get in and missed a large chunk of the game, or got in to find someone else in your seat.
Same old ticket sale arrangements -- rubbish.
From a very angry season ticket holder, and loyal supporter and all my family, all season ticket holders.
