NEW companies in Bolton face a new fine if they fail to tell the Inland Revenue when they began to trade.
According to Steve Crompton, tax manager at UHY Hacker Young chartered accountants in Manchester, companies of all sizes must now inform the Inland Revenue within three months after the start of the first accounting period -- or face a penalty of up to £300 and an additional fine of £60 a day until notification.
