IT WAS a disappointing weekend with defeat at West Brom, particularly with the first half chance I missed when I hit the post.
On another day it may have gone in. But a frustrating match also resulted in a recurrence of Jay-Jay's injury which is a big blow.
Anyway I have to get off to see the doc as I may need an operation on my ankle.
Some of the lads are away on international duty again this week so it's the perfect opportunity for the rest of the squad to take a training break in Portugal. It won't be a relaxing holiday though; whilst there we'll be working hard getting ready for the busy month ahead of us.
The lads are really looking forward to it; it'll be really nice to spend a few days in the sun because it's starting to get a bit chilly here. I also want to say good luck to all the lads who are off to represent their countries, 10 of the squad have been called up for international duty, that's fantastic and really shows what a strong squad we've got.
