AS National Customer Service Week kicks off this week, banking company First Direct has revealed that poor service is costing customers in the North-west £1.5 billion a year.
Research found that every person questioned had their time wasted by poor customer service and lost 24 minutes on average a week. Valuing this time as potential lost earnings at the national average wage, it is equivalent to £297 per customer a year.
