IN an exciting and close LFA Inter League Cup encounter, the U12s Boys Fed team overcame Bury and Radcliffe with a gritty performance and goals by Jackson, Abdullah and Gough, to advance into a semi-final tie away at Barrow in three weeks time.

In the league there were good wins for Radcliffe Boro, County Raiders, both Astley Bridge teams, Mossley Common and Oxford Grove.

The top three in the U18s all won, while County Youth won by the odd goal in an 11 goal thriller.

In the top of the table clash in the U16s, Hindsford Jnrs crushed rivals Beechwood by five goals. Other winners were North Walkden, Deans Youth, CMB and Farnworth Boys, while Laburnum Rovers had a great result in holding league leaders Great Lever Boys, in a 3-3 draw extravaganza.

Aspull Jnrs created a seven point unbeaten gap at the top of the U15s when they blasted CMB. Other winners were Farnworth Boys and Dunscar, with County Eagles sharing the points with second placed Lads Club, in a six goal thriller.

It is as you were in the U14s after this weekend's results, and in the U13s, Langworthy Jnrs had a great result in the County Cup, while in the league there were good wins for Winton Wanderers, Elton and Walshaw, Horwich St Mary's and Division One leaders AFC Hindley, as Elliott Slingsby scored another hat-trick.

First Round Jubilee Cup matches are on Sunday, October 10, for the U15s and U16s, and a County Cup match for the U12s.
