EAGLEY'S trip to Cumbria at weekend proved a huge disappointment after they crashed out of the Lancashire Amateur Shield second round 3-0 to BAE Barrow.
The Villagers never came to terms with the adverse weather conditions and trailed 1-0 at the break through a Stuart Walker strike.
Things did not improve in a poor second half and further late goals came from Mike Otto and Walker, who gave the Cumbrians a deserved victory.
Eagley Reserves defeated Norcross 4-3. Tom Birchby (2), Dean Smith and Gary Lovett hit the target.
On Saturday Eagley 1st XI travel to Blackrod Town.
Eagley 2nd IX travel to Poulton Town. Both games kick off at 3pm.
