TRAIN passengers who get the 7.22 from Moses Gate have had their service dropped.
On lodging my complaint with First North Western, I was first informed that it was due to leaves on the line. On further correspondence with them, they seem to imply it is lack of rolling stock. Passengers using trains tend to be quite loyal, but are being driven back to their cars and bus services. I think we have been treated quite shoddily and don't wonder they have lost the contract.
It makes me wonder what is the real reason for stopping this and the 4.10 from Victoria to Bolton.
The train service, when it works, is an excellent way of getting into Manchester -- 20 minutes on the slowest train compared to 45mins-to-one-hour on the bus. When it goes wrong -- well ...
