HAVING read your article on Bolton Council's eviction of nuisance families (October 4), I would just like to ask the following question before anyone decides congratulations are in order. Just where are these problem tenants, these neighbours from hell being re-housed?
Well, actually, I already know the answer. They're being moved to what used to be decent neighbourhoods, like mine, and put in Housing Association homes, where they start terrorising their new neighbours and bringing a new neighbourhood down to their (sub) level. Of course, because they are no longer in council homes, BMBC can simply pass the buck on to whichever Association houses them.
So, before anyone reads the article and thinks what a great job the council is doing about nuisance neighbours, I would ask them to spare a thought for the people of the areas where the anti-social detritus end up.
