A new play, described as "seriously funny", Living Pretty takes you from Jamaica to England, from childhood to old age, and is said to leave audiences "feeling glad to be alive".

Everal A. Walsh who has previously appeared at the Royal Exchange Studio in Basil & Beattie, plays 18 characters in this biographical play, which also stars singer Pauline Tomlin. As a singer, Tomlin has worked with the Northern Ballet Theatre, RJC Dance Theatre and has performed around the UK, most notably at the London Palladium.
Everal says of the play: "I couldn't read the script in one sitting, I kept ringing my mother to tell her about it. She came from Jamaica. Many of her generation are like icebergs, most of their life is hidden from us. Living Pretty has started to melt that iceberg."
