ALMOST a third of adults in the North-west risk losing their sight by not having a regular eye test.
Research has shown a quarter of those at risk, the over 55s, have not had their eyes tested in the past two years.
The over 55s are at risk of age-related macular degeneration (AMD) which can lead to irreversible sight loss within weeks.
The survey indicates that people familiar with AMD are more likely to have had an eye health check in the past two years.
