TWO masked men armed with a machete and large curved knife forced their way into a flat in Salford and stole a quantity of goods.
The 49-year-old occupant of the flat on Lower Broughton Road had answered a knock on the door at 6pm when the men burst into his home.
The pair ransacked the property and stole a DVD player and jewellery before they ran out of the front door.
The men are described as being white, around 5ft 10inches tall, aged between 18 and 25, and spoke with a northern accent.
The first man wore a black hat, a cream dust mask, a dark long sleeved jacket, black trousers, white trainers, a 12" metal handled machete.
The second man also wore a cream dust mask, a dark coloured baseball cap, a dark long sleeved zipped jacket, cream tracksuit bottoms and dirty white trainers. He was armed with 14inch curved flat bladed knife.
