TWENTY-five thousand swimmers front-crawled, backstroked and paddled their way through three million lengths to raise money for charity earlier this year - and Bolton swimmers were among them.
The amount for the Butlins Swimathon has been calculated and £1.7 million has been donated to Macmillan Cancer Relief.
Swimmers at the David Lloyd Fitness Centre in Bolton raised £2,031.72 and swimmers at Bolton's Esporta Health and Fitness raised £153.
Macmillan has received 85 per cent of the money raised; the rest will go to smaller charities and projects.
Web, hotline and postal entries for Butlins Swimathon 2005 open in November.
