A SUPPORT group for single dads has been inundated with requests for help from people following the controversial activities of a national fathers' rights group.
Bolton based Saturday Father's Together (SFT) has been swamped by telephone calls since Fathers 4 Justice launched a campaign highlighting the plight of estranged dads.
One protester dressed as Batman managed to climb onto a balcony at Buckingham Palace last month - causing a major security scare.
Officials with SFT will hold two drop-in sessions for single dads - who will be able to discuss a range of parental issues and their legal rights in confidence with trained counsellors and solicitors.
Donald Gayle, from SFT, said: "We've had a massive amount of interest since Fathers 4 Justice began their national campaign. We've had a lot of enquiries about legal issues and we thought it would be a good idea to hold these drop in sessions."
The sessions will be held at their base at 170 Chorley Old Road on Saturday from 10am until 3pm and Wednesday from 5pm until 8pm.
