SHOOT fighter Dave Dillon is to return to America for a rematch with Frank Rodrigues after their professional challenge fight in Florida ended in a draw.
Shoot fighting, which is a form of extreme wrestling is popular in the States and the televised 15-minute fight in Fort Lauderdale, took place in front more than 1,000 spectators.
Dillon, 37, has been a pro' fighter for more than a year now and is confident he can overcome the American when they meet again in February.
He said: "I annihilated him to be honest and I should have won but I just couldn't get him to submit.
"The atmosphere was great and he had quite a lot of fans cheering him on but I didn't let it intimidate me.
"I think I'll beat him next time."
Dillon also has fights lined up in Japan and Finland in the coming months and is hoping to challenge for the world title soon.
He currently runs shoot fighting coaching sessions at All Seasons Leisure Centre, Chorley.
The sessions are open to those aged 14 and above. Contact Dave on 07837 252695 for details.
