THE Labour History Archive and Study Centre in Manchester has organised a series of talks to mark the 20th anniversary of the Miners' Strike.
The free lectures are open to anyone. The first takes place on Monday, October 18, when Dr Meg Allen of Salford University will discuss Women and the Miners' Strike 1984-85.
On Monday, November 1, author and journalist Geoffrey Goodman will give a talk entitled Was Arthur Scargill Right About the Miners' Strike 1984-85?
The lectures will take place in the studio, the University of Manchester Department of Government, Dover Street Building (First Floor), Oxford Road, Manchester, starting at 6.30pm.
