BOLTON girl Jessica Moon begins the long road to pop stardom this weekend.

Sixteen-year-old Jessica, who is currently in talks with a major label, performs live with her band The Jazz Forum at the Trafford Centre in Manchester between noon and 3pm on Saturday.

Among the soulful songs promised will be her debut single Free The Woman, which will feature on her first album.

Second single, Eyes On You, has just been completed.

On release of her debut album, probably early next year, Jessica hopes to tour the country with dates already booked at the likes of London's Jazz Cafe and Borderline club.

Jessica, described as having "the voice of a woman" despite being just 16, has recently relocated to Battersea in an attempt to win a record deal and establish herself in the music industry, but returns to the area for her first big show this weekend.

Saturday's Trafford Centre show is free of charge.
