YOUR readers will recall the two previous attempts to replace the former cinema on Bradshawgate by an aesthetically displeasing mix of shops and dwellings, in what resembled a listing ship, which, thankfully, were refused.
Some time has passed, but the plan has re-surfaced and once again we are faced with this controversial proposal.
I am all in favour of town centre living, but in this case the architects need to go back to the drawing board.
All those who care about the town centre and are against this proposed eyesore are urged to put their objection in writing to the Director of Planning, Town Hall, Bolton, as soon as possible please, quoting PA 69128/04.
