IT ANNOYED me, to say the least, when I read in Monday's edition (October 5) "Council Tax could rise by 14 per cent.
I don't believe for one moment that this rise is needed "just to maintain services".
I found the evidence for arriving at this conclusion on page eight in the same edition of the Bolton Evening News, "Town needs Rock Czar".
Town Hall bosses are going to use the long-suffering Council Taxpayers in this town by forcibly removing money from them to create yet another quango job to go along with all the other quangos and their "team leaders" that already infest the Town Hall.
I would like to, and I also encourage other disgruntled Council Taxpayers out there, to do the same. Tell the council to, "Get off our backs, get your hands out of our pockets, stop running our lives with our money, and get out of our lives forever".
