MEMBERS of St Thomas and St John Church, Lostock, held hands to form a chain to symbolise how the church has gone out into the community over the past 90 years.
The Harvest Festival was one of the events planned to mark the anniversary of the "temporary" wooden church which was built 90 years ago, and to aid Bolton Urban Outreach and church funds. Other events include a Flower Festival on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and a musical celebration on Friday, when pupils from Lostock County Primary School will join the church choir and other musicians in a varied programme.
There is also a barn dance on Saturday evening and a Songs of Praise on Sunday evening, followed by an auction of flowers.
Tickets for the barn dance are available on 01204-64509 and for Songs of Praise on 01204-652977.
