IT AMAZES me how people still find cause to complain about the way the Wanderers have decided to sell the Carling Cup tickets, making it a postal application and charging an administration fee of £1.50 to season ticket holders.
My son and I are lucky enough to have season tickets, and are able to purchase tickets for the forthcoming Carling Cup match against Spurs, especially as my son is able to go free of charge.
So to me the £1.50 is worth every penny, as it saves me having to go up to the Reebok to pick our tickets up. I have no doubt it would cost me more than that in petrol. Plus if you try to book tickets elsewhere for other events, you will probably pay more than the £1.50 they are charging.
At least the money spent on the administration fee in this case will be put to good use within the club, for example paying the wages of the ticket office staff, who I must say were very quick in returning our tickets. I didn't send the application off until the last post on Thursday night, and we received them in the post on Saturday morning.
So let's give them a break and enjoy the rest of the season and hopefully the rest of the cup run.
