MR Clive Nightingale has got his figures completely wrong, when he claims that 99.5 per cent of people in Bolton do not support your "Stub it out" campaign.
Infants and children under 18 years of age are not allowed to vote, so why does he include them in his sums?
Two-thirds of grown-ups in Bolton do not smoke, therefore non-smokers are in the majority.
Mr Nightingale is a pub landlord and pub owner of several pubs, and he has a vested interest in keeping smoking going in his pubs.
Some pubs have already banned smoking in the bar area, and I think that this should be compulsory as soon as possible in all pubs.
Most pubs have a room which can be set aside for smokers. All that thick smoke in the bar area must be a health hazard for the bar staff and others. They have a right to less smoke in the workplace
