IF ever a football manager deserved some luck it's Bury boss Graham Barrow, and there might just be some for him on the injury front.
The Shakers chief could have four of his first team squad back in full-time training, with striker Chris Porter, midfielder Dwayne Mattis and, hopefully, defenders Colin Woodthorpe and Paul Scott all looking to get back in action.
Barrow is hoping above hope that Mattis and Porter (both knee) will come through the hard work they put in with physio Joe Hinnegan on Monday morning and force themselves into his plans for Saturday's crucial clash with Cambridge United at Gigg Lane.
Scott, who has been out with a foot problem, is also on the mend, while Woodthorpe, suffering from a recurring back problem, is to have an injection today that will hopefully ease the pain that has kept him on the sidelines.
The Shakers boss believes that the re-introduction of the injured players to the rest of the squad would give everyone at the club a massive lift and go a long way to turning round the alarming run of bad results that have seen the club sink perilously close to the League Two relegation places.
"Both Chris (Porter) and Dwayne (Mattis) did some hard work yesterday and hopefully they will join in full time training with the rest of the lads if they have no after-effects," he said.
"I need an update on Colin's fitness although he has been feeling a lot better, while Paul Scott is on the mend too.
"They all trained over the weekend while we were away at Southend and to get them involved again would give us a big, big boost.
"I think even seeing the likes of Dwayne, Ports and Scotty running around again has given the squad a lift and hopefully theyll come through okay."
Barrow has brushed off calls for him to resign from a section of supporters who used the club's internet site messageboard and is puzzled by the criticism, some of it personal and abusive, he has had to endure.
"I have a clear conscience and don't think people are looking at the full picture of the situation here at the club," he said.
"I'd be honest and walk away now if I thought the criticism was just.
"It's just sad that the team we were building has had to be dismantled.
"And no disrespect to the lads still at the club it is some of our better players who have been sold and missing in recent weeks."
Another player who could be through the door this week is goalkeeper Andy Marriott.
With Glyn Garner now back close to full fitness the former Welsh international is unlikely to stay at Gigg and is believed to be the target of one or two clubs.
"The situation with Andy will be resolved in the next few days," said Barrow.
"He has irons in the fire and is going to keep me posted."
