DAVID G SCOTT of Bolton Road, Bury, Lancs, BL8 2PH, writes: "I am trying to trace two people I was in the army with during 1952/53. We were in the Canal Zone, Egypt, in the Airborne, 16 Independant Parachute Brigade, Signal Squadron, to be precise. 'Yorkie' Livesy and 'Spud' Taylor both came from Bolton, they would by in their mid 70s by now. I am originally from Canterbury, but now in Bury, and as I have already traced other guys we served with who know Yorkie and Spud, it would be quite an achievement to put together a North West Reunion."

GARY WHITEHEAD and JACK WORSLEY, ask: "Did you go to Church Road School or Devonshire Road School around 1947-1954, and then on to Whitecroft Road School around 1954-1958? There will be a reunion on Saturday, April 2, at Smithills and Heaton Conservative Club, Chorley Old Road, Bolton, from 7.30pm. Bring along your old school photographs. Family and friends also welcome. The last two reunions were well attended (50 plus) and lots of old friendships were renewed. Come and join us or phone for more details."

SUCCESS
IRIS HEANEY (nee HOLDEN) of Newby Road, Breightmet, Bolton, BL2 5JA, writes: "Before Christmas I wrote asking if anyone knew about a photo which was taken at Hall I'th' Wood. The people on the photo were pupils of Haulgh Council School in Elton Street. One of the pupils, Mr Cyril Bromely, got in touch with me, and bingo, after 10 weeks or more we have now found a Mr Barry Vaughn, who was at one time a freelance writer for the Bolton Evening News. I was delighted to hear from Cyril who has helped me no end - thank you. Your searching for someone is great, and thank you Bolton Evening News for making my quest come at last to its end."
GEOFF WRIGHT of Australia, says: "I and my sister Jean have got in touch with friends with whom we have had no contact for 50 years or more. I left school in 1948 and have received a letter from a lady who taught both me and my sister up to that time. We have caught up with others who have live in New Mexico, Quebec and Florida, all who were friends in Bolton prior to coming to Australia in 1955. Thank you for a wonderful opportunity."

NEW MESSAGES
MRS D JOWETT of New Lane, Bolton, writes: "I am looking for Diane Jowitt, daughter of Mr Louis Jowitt and Mrs Renee Jowitt, who lives in the Bolton area, as she is the last relation of the Jowitt side of my husband's family.
ANTHONY PORTMAN-JONES of Collyhurst, writes: "I am looking for members of my family who live in Bolton. I was born in Bolton in 1960 in my grandparent's home, and then with my parents, moved away living with travellers (fair ground) all over the UK. Many years ago, when I was about nine or 10, I came back to Bolton and stopped with my older sister, but then moved back to Wales with mother. My grandparents have passed away and I have no idea about my other family in Bolton. I have put roots down in Manchester and hope I may be able to find my family after so many years of being alone."
