SMALL businesses in the Bolton area will have access to a new source of financial support and service, following the appointment of a new Business Banking Manager by Bank of Scotland.
John McBeth, aged 31, who formerly worked in the Bank's Edinburgh Business Banking Business Centre for more than two years, will provide advice and support to small business customers of Bolton from Knowsley Street Halifax branch.
Mr McBeth started his banking career in 2002 with Bank of Scotland after selling mortgages for three years with Cheltenham & Gloucester.
Bank of Scotland Business Banking is introducing a full range of business banking services for customers, through the Halifax branch network in England and Wales, including cash withdrawal and deposit facilities.
Mr McBeth said: "This is a very exciting time for the bank in the Bolton area and I'm looking forward to the challenge of developing our business here."
