A MAN who police have warned could be a danger to the public has disappeared from a psychiatric ward.
Brian Corr-Davies, aged 47, was reported missing from the Edenfield medium secure unit in Prestwich on Sunday.
Police are urging people not to approach him as he suffers from a mental illness and may pose a risk to the public, particularly if he has access to drugs.
Police say they are carrying out "extensive" enquiries in an attempt to find Mr Corr-Davies.
He is described as being 5ft 9ins tall, of mixed race ethnic background, and slim.
The upper part of his left ear is missing and he walks with a limp.
He has close cropped shaven black afro hair.
Mr Corr-Davies is thought to have been wearing a blue Parka coat with fur on the hood, black trousers and black shoes.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is being urged to contact police on 0161 872 5050 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
