EAGLEY gained swift revenge for their defeat by Coppull a week ago.
The Villagers struck within a minute of the start when Carl Grimshaw slid the ball over the line after Carl Bancks had headed Andy Wilkinson's free kick across the face of the goal.
Coppull drew level almost immediately when a long clearance by their keeper was not dealt with and Steve Barnes nipped in to score. Both sides battled for control in a tight encounter but Eagley went in front on 24 minutes when Grimshaw grabbed his second goal after the Coppull defence had failed to clear.
The second half was contested at a frantic pace but Eagley had much of the possession with Craig Taylor outstanding in midfield.
The home side finally made the points safe on 84 minutes when Neil Matthews beat the offside trap to race clear to score. In the dying minutes Grimshaw completed a fine hat-trick with a well struck penalty.
Eagley Reserves won 4-0 away at Freckleton, Morris, Longthorne, Carson and Birchby hitting the target.
On Saturday, Eagley 1st travel to Freckleton, while the 2nd XI travel to Whinney Hill in the 'Houston Cup.
