INJURY-HIT Leigh RMI will look to add more pain to Carlisle United at Brunton Park on Tuesday night.

The Cumbrians, once play-off certainties, are in free-fall with three successive defeats and only one win in five encounters.

RMI boss Steve Bleasdale, wrestling with a rising tide of injuries, admits it will be tough, but has a game plan to deal with Carlisle.

"I am struggling with injuries," he admitted. "Chris Clarke has gone back to Halifax after damaging a hamstring, while Gareth Stoker is definitely out with a recurrence of his ankle injury.

"But we will regroup. I have Chris Lane back after suspension, while Ryan Clarke is available despite being sent off on Saturday. He will be missing against Scarborough at the weekend."

Bleasdale has just one loan deal available to him for the rest of the season and has again asked Oldham boss Ronnie Moore if he will release striker Chris Hall. The new Latics boss wanted a look at the teenager but he did not figure in the first team at the weekend.

RMI's mini-revival of two successive wins ended on Saturday with a 3-0 defeat by an impressive Barnet outfit - the runaway Conference leaders.

Bleasdale said: "We have to regroup and stick together. Barnet did not cut us up, it was only at the end that their fitness told.

"The effort is there. What I love about the players is that they are dejected about the defeat. You know defeat hurts them."
