VEHICLE component manufacturer Teleflex Automotive has awarded a major European order to Remploy Automotive.
Under the deal, Remploy Automotive is assembling and supplying more than 105,000 pedal box units which are fitted to vans built by Vauxhall, Opel, Nissan and Renault.
The pedal box units house brake and clutch pedals.
Parts are shipped from Teleflex Automotive manufacturing sites in Sweden to Remploy Automotives Coventry factory, where special production cells have been introduced.
The final assembled units are delivered to General Motors Europes IBC Vehicle van operation in Luton and also shipped to Nissans van plant in Barcelona, Spain.
Remploy Automotive is part of Remploy Limited, the largest provider of jobs for disabled people in the UK.
Nearly all the employees of Remploy Automotive are disabled.
