Horwich Town Council will honour two of its most prominent citizens by presenting them with an award for long service.
The Horwich Civic Award will be presented to Ken Burns and Dougie Foster at the council chamber, in the public hall on Monday, March 14.
The honour is given for more than 20 years outstanding service to the town and its people.
Ken Burns was nominated for more than 40 years service to Horwich RMI Cricket Club. He will receive his award from the Town Mayor Elect, Cllr Stephen Rock, at 6.30pm.
Dougie Foster is rewarded for his outstanding services as parade marshal for both the Civic Sunday and Remembrance Day Parades for more than 50 years.
He will receive the Horwich Civic Award from the Town Mayor, Cllr Kevan Helsby at 7pm.
