PHIL Brown and Neil McDonald will have a watching brief at Highbury when Arsenal bid to keep their Champions League hopes alive.

The Wanderers assistant manager and first team coach will study every aspect of the Gunners' performance as they gather intelligence ahead of Saturday's FA Cup quarter-final at the Reebok.

Whatever the outcome of the Premiership Champions' attempt to overturn a 3-1 first leg deficit against Bayern Munich and follow Chelsea into the last eight of Europe's Premier competition, Sam Allardyce's spies believe they can pick up important pointers.

"We'll be watching them with great interest," Brown said. "It's not a tie that can't be turned round but, if it gets to 65-70 minutes and the outcome is decided, it will be interesting to see if he starts taking his best players off with Saturday in mind.

"Defeat on Wednesday wouldn't scar Arsenal for the rest of their lives and, whatever happens, they'll come up here on Saturday motivated to win the FA Cup, but we'll leave no stone unturned."

Arsenal could end the week with only second place in the Premiership to play for, but top scorer Thierry Henry has vowed to do his utmost to transform the last-16 tie as the Gunners seek to reach the quarter-finals after so many previous early exits.

"It would be amazing to turn around the tie. Now we have to make sure that we do to Bayern what they did to us in Munich," he insisted.

"In a way, this is the only medal I don't have in my locker so it is a bit frustrating when you go out of the competition so early every time.

"But on the other side, if we don't win the Premier League this season, I still won't be happy."

Henry is delighted to have Dennis Bergkamp back in the squad after the talented Dutchman missed the first leg because of his long-held fear of flying, while he also has just finished serving a three-match domestic ban.

Henry, who hailed Bergkamp as his best-ever strike partner, added: "I think Dennis will change some stuff. When he plays, I play differently because, whatever you do, he sees you."

Robert Pires could return after a foot injury sustained at Southampton, although Arsene Wenger, who could lose Edu to a fresh knee injury, will make a late decision on his fitness.
