An aggressive defensive performance saw the Lions run out clear winners against a team they had twice drawn with this season.
Player of the match, Nathan Davies-Hinds, shot over on the first attack to give the home team a lead it would never lose. Other first half tries came from Aidan Mann (3) and Chris Brownlow, who led from the front and picked up one of two best tackler awards for his 28 "hits".

Plucky performances from man of the match Stephen Haydock, Alex Lynam, Jacob Astle and Harry Baxendale failed to overcome Lions lack of handling ability in their worst defeat of the year. A fabulous try saving tackle by Shaun Markland in the second half prevented Halton from increasing their scoreline.
