THE man who died under the wheels of a lorry in Boothstown on Monday has been named as Ian Thomas Lawler.
Mr Lawler, aged 52, of Rushbrook Avenue, Clayton, is thought to have fallen under the wheels of the wagon as he walked along Leigh Road at 1.30pm.
Mr Lawler's wife, Paula, said: "He was a loving father and husband who will be sadly missed by his wife, four children and five grandchildren."
