A BOY who fell into an ice cold river and was submerged for five minutes has returned home - two days after being brought back to life.
Connor Scott, aged six, was carried lifeless from the River Tonge after firefighters spotted him at the bottom of the 3ft 6ins deep water.
As reported in the Bolton Evening News earlier this week Connor, of The Willows, Bradley Fold, slipped into the river as he was playing with two friends in brambles above the bank. When he was pulled out he appeared lifeless, but, after firefighters gave him mouth-to-mouth resuscitation he began to breathe again. He was transferred to the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital at Pendlebury but returned to the Royal Bolton Hospital 24 hours later.
His parents Jade Keegan and Lee Scott described Connor's survival as an "absolute miracle".
