AS I promised in my last column, here is some information about next week's Continental Market.
Brunomart French and Continental Market will be transforming Victoria Square into a French style boulevard from Thursday 17th - Saturday 19th March between 9am-5pm each day.
This diverse and speciality market will offer traditional French and continental products. The market will be made up of approx 35 stalls, with a mix of 70per cent food and 30 per cent crafts.
Tempting delights include a huge selection of cheeses, charcuterie and patisserie, plus freshly baked bread and cakes.
There will also be a variety of olives, cider and wine, which can be sampled before you buy and strings of onions, shallots and garlic.
Other delicious products include Merguez sausages and sandwiches, soupe de poisson and cassoulet. For the sweeter tooth there is honey, Belgium chocolates, confectionery, and crepes with Grand Marnier.
Also on sale are household wares such as French African art, traditional dolls, earthenware, Provencal tablecloths, leather goods and crafts including hand woven baskets, glass, candlesticks and ornaments - the choice is yours.
Or you could simply soak up the convivial atmosphere and practise your French with the friendly stallholders.
Please come along and support the market; it is here for you and while you're in town you can also shop till you drop at all our stores which are here and open 52 weeks a year.
More dates for your dairy include May 12-15 when we welcome back Team
Fantastique, the continental market specialists who came last October. They will also be coming back at Christmas.
June 10-12 will see Boltons first World Fair Trade Market, offering 40-50 stalls each with fair trade status, bringing food and craft from across the world and four llamas and a camel!
Keep reading my column for more information nearer the time.
