AFTER a winless February, Radcliffe Borough boss Kevin Glendon is basking in the glory of back-to-back wins over Lincoln United and Prescot Cables, achieved over the last six days.
"It's been a really awkward time with all the injuries we've had but we've brought in two experienced lads in Darren Royle and Pete Carty from Ashton United, and they've probably been the difference the last two games, which is no disrespect to the youth team lads we have drafted in," he said.
"It also keeps alive our chase for a play-off spot."
As well as bringing in Royle and Carty he has also been busy re-signing a number of the current squad, including Scott Wilson, Simon Kelly, Martyn Forrest and Steve Foster.
"I hope to add Richard Battersby, Lee Duffy and Danny Hurst to that list," he said.
"Lee will be having an operation in the next week or so and it looks like a cartilage tear and not his cruciate ligament, which is good news. While Andy Heald needs either an operation or complete rest to get over his back injury.
"I also hope to add another striker and a midfielder.
"Another Ashton player, midfielder Will Dolan, will be training with us and hopefully he'll slot into the line-up initially on the bench, but when Battersby's three-game suspension kicks in he will hopefully be starting."
This Saturday (kick-off 3pm) it is Ossett Town at home.
"They are fighting to avoid the relegation places so they will come here determined," said Glendon.
"It tends to be the lower teams we struggle against so it will not be easy, but after a win-less February we are now looking at making it three wins on the trot in March which would be a real pick-me-up."
