THE problems are piling up for Arsene Wenger in the build-up to Saturday's FA Cup quarter-final showdown with Wanderers.
Out of the Premiership reckoning and out of the Champions League, the Gunners have now lost their top scorer, Thierry Henry.
The inspirational Frenchman scored the goal that gave Arsenal the scant consolation of a 1-0 victory over Bayern Munich at Highbury on Wednesday night. But he suffered a calf injury in the process and will be out for two to three weeks.
Wenger was putting on a brave face after bowing to the German club 3-2 on aggregate, denying that the European exit put any extra pressure on Arsenal to beat Wanderers.
But the FA Cup is now his only realistic hope of picking up a trophy this season and the loss of his leading marksman will only add to his troubles.
Robert Pires could figure, after making good progress in his recovery from an ankle injury, but Brazilian midfielder Edu, who injured his knee on the eve of the Bayern match, is definitely out and could be sidelined for much of the Premiership run-in.
