THOUSANDS of scooter riders will take to the roads around Bolton this weekend for the popular Ginger's Easter Egg Run.
The riders will start their trip from Lowton Civic Hall and they make their way to Manchester Children's Hospital to deliver their easter eggs.
The run which started in 1986 and is now so big, it has a police escort along the route. This year's event starts at noon on Saturday and takes in Leigh, Atherton, Little Hulton, Walkden and Swinton
It is expected to attract up to 2,500 scooters and this year's lead vehicle has been donated by The Natural Duvet and Pillow Company who have also donated raffle prizes for the weekend.
The event will end with an evening party at the Railway pub back in Lowton.
