BOLTON Wanderers fans have paid their own fitting tribute to super fan Dave Higson - by selling T-shirts bearing his memorable catchphrase Ding Dong Do.
Unofficial supporters' website Wanderersways has printed 100 T-shirts in memory of Mr Higson, who died last week after he collapsed at his Morris Green home from a suspected heart attack.
Website co-ordinator Neil Thompson approached Mr Higson's daughter Fiona, who gave permission to use her 58-year-old father's picture on the shirts.
The T-shirts were on sale at Wanderers FA Cup quarter-final clash against Arsenal with all proceeds going towards Bolton Wanderers Disabled Association.
Mr Thompson said the T-shirts had been selling very well.
"This seemed a perfect way to commemorate the life of one of Wanderers best-loved fans," said Mr Thompson. "He is just a legend among fans. He absolutely adored the club and he has left a massive void."
The T-shirts are available from the website and selected outlets and cost £7.50 and £1.50 postage and packing.
