A TRADITIONAL custom will take place when the annual district egg service is held in Turton.
Brownies and Rainbows from the Turton and Harwood area have decorated unboiled eggs and will take them in baskets to be blessed at St Anne's Church, Turton, on Tuesday.
Once blessed, the eggs will be taken to the East Lancashire Hospice at Blackburn, a hospice that has recently started treating day patients as well as children.
The eggs will be cooked by the chefs and served to clients.
The service starts at 6.30pm and refreshements will be served after the service.
