COACH Darren Abram was full of praise for his Leigh Centurions players despite the heavy 46-6 home defeat at the hands of Bradford Bulls.
He said: "I thought the enthusiasm and improvement from our guys was superb.
"It is a pity we were not playing one of the teams that will be down the bottom end of the table with us.
"They punished us at times. Their skill levels, speed of passing and lines of running were hard to watch as an opposing coach but nice to watch as something to aspire to.
"I'm pleased with my lads. But for a couple of blips there might have been a lot less in it."
Bradford coach Brian Noble commented: "We have been practising our defence and we have got to look after the ball.
"We would have been punished by a better team than we were playing. We were made to defend and that takes it out of you.
"We spoke at half-time and knew what we had to do to rectify it but we were still a bit sloppy then.
"But win 46-6 is not a bad effort and shows when we look after the ball we are not bad."
