ATHERTON COLLS 0, TRAFFORD 0: Debutant Wayne Dyson was inches away from earning Colls a much needed victory when his header rattled the crossbar on 85 minutes.
Colls had held out after a lively first half show from the visitors, Ian Martin saving well from David Holt.
But the second half belonged to the home side, and although they came close to scoring, they had to be content with a first goalless draw in 18 months.
